Neil is responsible for the preclinical screening of novel compounds with the aim of identifying of lead candidate molecules for clinical development. Neil graduated from University College Dublin with a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in pharmacology before completing his doctoral studies in biochemistry at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. He conducted his postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Professor Dennis Slamon at UCLA, before joining UCLA faculty in 2012 where he currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine. He has over 15 years’ experience working with preclinical models of human cancer where he has published numerous peer reviewed papers and is co-inventor multiple patents arising from this work.
